Who doesn't want some free tools?
We live in an awesome age of there is an app-for-that in which someone has built an online app that can basically do whatever you need. Coincidentally this has also come at the same time as we are all expected to do even more with less. Bygone are the days of having lots of staff inputting data or filing away things, as now we have the internet and apps that just do it for you!
Now, new shiny tools are always fun and I’m a demon for trying out something new, even if I already have something else I use. Why do some boring bit of admin when I could try out this new app?! Well, the only thing better than new apps are free new apps. So for all of those of you out there that, like me, want to do more with less (or free!) here’s a list of some of the things I use in my business:
Google Workplace
I actually use the paid Google Workplace platform which I think is totally worth it. However, google's free services like email, drive, docs, forms, etc. are amazing!
Mailchimp
MailChimp is a marketing platform for small businesses. Send beautiful emails, connect your e-commerce store, advertise, and build your brand.
Mailer Lite
My go-to email marketing platform. Their free service is very decent and easy to set up and use.
Project Management
Content Creation
Feedly
A news aggregator to help you filter to read ideas about whatever you want.
Put articles, videos or pretty much anything into Pocket. If it's in Pocket, it's on your phone, tablet or computer. You don't even need an Internet connection.
Evernote
Evernote is the app that keeps your notes organised. Memos are synced so they're accessible anywhere, and searchable so you always find what you need.
Other handy tools
Airtable
Like excel on crack. Great and easy way to build a database so you can register and view information easily.
Appointlet
Great scheduling app to automate the booking process for meetings, classes, etc. as easy as possible for clients.
Hubspot CRM
Although their other tools are pricey, their CRM is an easy and free way to get a client CRM up and running.
Zapier
An app to connect other apps. Let's you automate the passing of information from one app to another.
WP Beginner
